About an hour before the tsunami hit Sri Lanka in 2004, people at the Yala National Park observed elephants running away from Patanangala beach (pictured).  There was moments of reflection when visiting the site. I found it hard to really understand the magnitude of the disaster with it being such a peaceful and calm place to visit. Sri Lanka was one of the worst hit with over 40,000 people killed and over half a million displaced.  Olympus AU OM-D E-M1 + 75mm f/1.8
