Stilt fisherman in Talpe Sri Lanka present a beautiful catch for the camera. Too precious to have even been caught it was returned to the ocean.

Arriving in Talpe near   Galle   towards the end of our trip was always going to be a rewarding one. It was the first time during the Sri Lankan journey that there would be time to really relax, reflect and go for a well deserved swim in the oc ean. Our tuk tuk driver reminded me of home, the surfer type with scruffy hair, relaxed attitude and contagious smile. Even still with this reminder I wasn’t ready to go home, to be honest I still wish I was there.

Sun setting on stilt fisherman in Talpe that were more then happy to perform and pose for photos.     While taking photos one proudly showed off a fish just caught with an invitation to get up on the stilts, I rejected the offer as I was more keen on taking photos. My dear friend   Moe   took up the challenge and is still in pain to this day, not as easy as it looks.
