This has been a big year for me, so I am taking time to acknowledge my personal achievements. The most valuable to me is the progress I have made with the crippling anxiety I have had most of my life.

It’s a good time to also thank my family and friends who have been my lifeline and who without I truly wouldn’t be here today.

I had been struggling of late, overwhelmed with constant interruptions and finding it difficult to spend time on ‘me’. The opportunity for a change of scenery presented itself and I grabbed it. I travelled with close friends to Byron, a place that easily guides you to slow down and relax.

The first visit to the ocean everything started making sense again, I was inspired and reminded to bring it back and pay attention to the now. With my camera in hand and the ocean as my backdrop this girl was the perfect reminder that the simple things make it all worth while, smiling at a stranger and being in the moment.
